Oscar-winning Framestore: ‘virtual reality is not a platform’

Karl Woolley, creative technologist at Oscar-winning production company Framestore, says virtual reality should not be seen as a platform, but as the driving force of content’s narrative.

Framestore, which won an Oscar for its work on ‘Gravity’, is approaching directors in order to push virtual reality (VR) as a technology that extends beyond its initial gaming applications.

Pictures: Cosmopolitan celebrates women at Kensington Palace

Kate Robertson, the co-global president of Havas Worldwide, was honored as an “icon” of the ad industry last night at a Cosmopolitan and Advertising Week Europe event at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.
Robertson was congratulated for being a role model to young women, and for her work as a founder of global youth charity One Young World.
Other women including Boots marketing director Elizabeth Fagan were also highlighted for their work.
